Phú Mỹ Hưng: A good educational environment for children’s all-round development
Amid rapid urbanisation, choosing a place to settle is no longer simply a matter of finding a luxurious home; it means choosing a living environment that shapes the future of generations to come. Phú Mỹ Hưng, with its strategic vision and human-centred planning, has established itself as an ideal destination for parents who wish to give their children a foundation for all-round development in intellect, physique and spirit alike.
Green space – the “lungs” that nurture body and emotions
One of the greatest strengths of Phú Mỹ Hưng is its absolute priority on green space. With more than 40 ha of green areas and an average of 8.9m² of greenery per person, the area is likened to the “green lung” of the southern part of HCMC.
Children here are not confined within four concrete walls but are free to play and explore the natural world in the parks and lakes laid out throughout the neighbourhoods. This clean natural environment not only helps children grow up physically healthy but also nurtures positive emotions, making their hearts brighter and more compassionate.
A diverse, standards-based international education system
Phú Mỹ Hưng is proud to have a diverse system of educational establishments covering every level from kindergarten to university. The presence of renowned international schools such as Saigon South International School (SSIS), the Korean, Japanese, Taipei and Canadian schools… together with higher education institutions such as RMIT University has created a multicultural educational community, giving children early access to global education standards.
In particular, Phú Mỹ Hưng the company also directly invested in the construction of Đinh Thiện Lý School (Lawrence S. Ting School), with a modern, student-centred educational approach that places emphasis on cultivating moral character. A distinctive feature of the master plan is that schools are usually within walking distance, right near home, making it convenient for parents to drop off and collect their children and kindling children’s enthusiasm for going to school.
A civilised community – where excellent character is formed
The educational environment at Phú Mỹ Hưng lies not only in its schools or modern facilities, but also encompasses the community living space. Planned by the American firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, this urban area places a premium on humanity and community cohesion.
Growing up in a civilised environment and coming into contact with the cultured conduct of educated and successful residents, children will have their manners refined into a courteous, confident and responsible way of life. Projects such as Mỹ Phú 3 in Nam Viên Area – the location with the highest concentration of parks and schools – are evidence of the developer’s efforts to create a living space that is peaceful, relaxed and rich in educational vitality.
Thanks to the dedication of the late Chairman Lawrence S. Ting and methodical, professional investment, Phú Mỹ Hưng is not only a bustling financial and commercial centre but truly a humane environment in which to “nurture the seeds” of future talent.
Alongside the enduring values at Phú Mỹ Hưng, the trend towards international education-led urban development continues to spread strongly today. A typical example is the Hồng Hạc City urban area, a new bright spot that also places great emphasis on an environment in which children can develop. With a methodical master plan, Hồng Hạc City is expected to incorporate more than 8 international all-through schools within the development itself, promising to be an ideal living space where education is placed at the centre in order to shape a new generation of global citizens.
