Phu My Hung Proposes Renovating the Thanh Xuan Bac Housing Area

Phú Mỹ Hưng Wants to Renovate the Thanh Xuân Bắc Collective Housing Area

As a pioneer in creating sustainable urban value in Vietnam, the Phú Mỹ Hưng brand continues to affirm its strategic vision through its plan to extend its influence in the northern market. One of the most important recent steps is its proposal to take part in renovating and redeveloping the Thanh Xuân Bắc collective housing area (Hanoi) – an emblematic project concerning the capital’s old urban infrastructure.

Phú Mỹ Hưng’s Strategic Vision in the Capital, Hanoi

On 7 April, during a meeting with Vũ Đại Thắng, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Mr Đinh Quảng Hồng – Chairman of the Board of Central Trading & Development (CT&D), the parent company of Phú Mỹ Hưng, formally expressed his wish to expand investment cooperation in Hanoi. The focus of this proposal is the project to renovate the Thanh Xuân Bắc collective housing area, a neighbourhood greatly in need of an extended hand from developers with proven delivery capacity and extensive experience.

Drawing on experience from landmark projects such as Tân Thuận Export Processing Zone and, in particular, the Phú Mỹ Hưng New Township in HCMC, the group’s leadership believes its participation will bring a new lease of life to urban infrastructure in the north.

Redeveloping Thanh Xuân Bắc: Raising Living Standards

The Thanh Xuân Bắc collective housing area currently comprises 60 five-storey apartment blocks, built between 1978 and 1987. After long-term use, more than half of the blocks have been inspected and show serious deterioration, including 9 blocks in Category C (significant damage) and 30 blocks in Category B.

The interest of the Phú Mỹ Hưng developer is fully in line with Hanoi’s planning direction of redeveloping old urban areas to improve residents’ quality of life. The Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee has asked the relevant professional agencies to work closely with the group to realise this cooperation proposal soon, contributing to the capital’s target of completing the renovation of 20,000 old collective apartments by 2030.

From the Renovation Proposal to the Presence of Hồng Hạc City

Alongside the plan to redevelop old infrastructure, the developer Phú Mỹ Hưng is also accelerating new developments in the north to affirm its long-term investment commitment. A prime example is the Hồng Hạc City township project – a premium living space under development, promising to bring the modern living standards and synchronised planning that are the hallmark of Phú Mỹ Hưng to customers in the north.

The combination of renovating the Thanh Xuân Bắc collective housing area and developing Hồng Hạc City reflects a comprehensive strategy: preserving the historic value of the township while creating new symbols for the future. Phú Mỹ Hưng’s reputation and strong financial capacity are the firmest assurance of the success of these projects, giving customers and investors complete peace of mind.

With the capital’s 100-year strategic vision, the presence of dedicated developers such as Phú Mỹ Hưng will be a key factor in transforming infrastructure, turning old collective housing areas into modern, civilised and safer living spaces than ever before.
